Great fishing this week. Wednesday at the islands for 25 big Bonita, slamming the Trimble ‘chovie on the 8wt and crocodile on 6lb line on the coffee grinder. A few lings and big sand bass on gear as well for a great mixed bag.

Thursday went 1 for 3 on the Thresher sharks, releasing a nice fish that was in the 270 to 280 class. Mouth hooked on a circle hook with a drop back bait, trolling hook-less bait o matics and pullin’ the ol’ bait-and-switch.

Friday was good sharkin’ we released 13 blues on the fly, and fed the chum to another 6 as we headed into the bay for a couple of spotties to round out the day.

Saturday was the day of the Log ‘Cuda. Almost every other cast on the 8wt and all you wanted on the iron. up to 36″…good times! Finished the day with 1 mako and 3 blues released to wrap up the week.
