This Sunday we hooked a mako and a pile of blue sharks on fly tackle. Blue shark fishing has been good the last couple weeks. That being said, this is a great sign of things to come in the next few weeks! We typically have good numbers of blue and mako sharks in May and even more in June. The water temperatures are already in the low to mid 60’s so it’s no surprise there are tuna and yellow tail in local waters already and our inshore rock cod trips are producing.
